Pigeon Pose (Modified for Hip Flexors)

Description

Open your hips deeply with Pigeon Pose. Start in a tabletop position, bring one knee forward, extend the other leg back, and gently drop your hips to the floor.

Progression

Deepen the stretch by walking hands further forward, actively press the back hip down

Feel sensation

Stretch primarily in the hip flexors of the back leg.

Common mistakes

Twisting the back leg, collapsing to one side
