Lying Hamstring Stretch with Strap

Biceps femoris, Semitendinosus, Semimembranosus

Description

Deepen your hamstring stretch with a strap or towel. Lie on your back or sit, loop the strap around your foot, and gently pull your straight leg towards you.

Progression

Slightly change the direction of your pull (to your right and left). Increase the pull, hold for longer.

Feel sensation

Gentle pulling sensation in the back of the thigh.

Common mistakes

Bending the knee of the raised leg, lifting hips off the floor
