Iliopsoas, Rectus Femoris
Description
Kneel on one knee, with your front foot flat on the floor. Sequeeze your butt and gently lean forward, pushing your hips forward, until you feel a stretch in the front of your hip.
Progression
Lean to the side, away from the leg which is being stretched. Lean further forward, hold for longer, squeeze the glute of the back leg.
Feel sensation
Gentle pulling sensation in the front of the hip.
Common mistakes
Arching the back, pushing too far
