Side stretch is one the simplest and well known stretches for the neck. We usually do a variation of this stretch naturally, when some tightness in the neck is present.
- Start by putting both hands by your side, retracting the shoulders to a natural position.

For additional variety, you can put your opposite hand behind your back (keeping the shoulder retracted) or push the shoulder down by holding the side of a chair.
You should feel the stretch on your side of the neck, but you might also feel it on the front of your shoulder or even your biceps
